North Bury League

A depleted Chadderton Park under 15’s Lions enjoyed great 6-2 win at home to Shawclough
Elijah Oluga scoring a first half hat-trick to give the Lions a 3-0 lead at half time.
Kieran Akehurst added a deserved fourth goal drilling in at the near post.
Shawclough pulled a goal back with a well taken 30 yard free kick to make it 4-1 and it was soon 4-2 with a lucky goal.
But Antonios Koiloropoulos scored a trademark goal to make it 5-2 before Adam Belwassa added a late 6th goal to ensure the victory.

Chadderton Park under 12’s Lions fought back from 2-0 to enjoy a 6-3 win away at Radcliffe Borough Aces in the North Bury Premiership.
The Aces started brightly and were 2-0 up within 8 minutes. Theo Andrew then pulled one back for the Lions with a fine solo goal and the scores were level when Blaine Matthews slotted home. The Lions went into the break 3-2 with Lucas Ryan scoring before the break.
Into the second half and Matthews got his second of the game to make it 4-2 before the Aces quickly pulled one back to make it 4-3.
Oliver Potts restored the 2 goal lead with a good finish to make it 5-3 and Ryan scored his second of the game to seal the victory for the Lions.

East Manchester Junior Football League – Saturday

Chadderton Park under 15’s Dragons carried on their unbeaten run with a stunning 7-1 at home to Bramhall Pegasus FC to reach the semi-finals of the Premier Cup.
It was a slow start from the Dragons before they opened the scoring from Saja Manafa and with further goals coming from Carlos Santos and Harrison Fairclough ensured that the Dragons went in at half time 3-0 up.
In the second further goals from Manafa and Santos put the Dragons 5-0 up and with the game edging towards full time Abdullah Cheema and Dan Kelly put the cherry on the cake to make it 7-0 but Bramhall managed to score a consolation goal to make it 7-1 at full time.

North Manchester Girls League

Chadderton Park under 14’s Girls suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat away at an in-form and top of the league Droylsden Youth.
The Girls were 2 nil down in the opening few minutes but they didn’t let their heads drop.
Playing against a very good physical team but the Girls were not intimidated by their size or play and the Girls played some absolutely brilliant football and were unlucky not to score with Annie Taylor hitting the post in the first half and when Emily Parsons was brought down in the box in the second half there were shouts for a penalty.
Droylsden scored a third goal in second half which was against the run of play.

Greater Manchester Women’s Football League

It was a disappointing day for Chadderton Park under 18’s Lionesses who came up against a very impressive and good Altrincham side. The Lionesses though can be proud of their efforts and the display they put into game and they never stopped for the whole 90 minutes showing great commitment and attitude but Altrincham ran out the winners who will take some stopping in their quest for the title.
Cameron Eastwood with the Lionesses only goal of the game with a well taken left foot strike in the first half with stand in keeper Leigha Cook making a string of fine saves to be named girl of the game.
