Three charged with murder of 22-year-old in Oldham

Three men have now been charged with murder after an Oldham man was stabbed in broad daylight on Friday afternoon.

Twenty-two-year-old Mohammed Nabeel Hassan tragically died from his injuries following the attack.

Police had been called to reports that a man was unconscious and not breathing on Waterloo Street, Oldham, near to the junction of Greengate Street, at 3.20pm on Friday.

They discovered Mohammed who had suffered multiple stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where he sadly died.

Initially four people, including a 15-year-old boy, were arrested in connection with the incident. The teenager and a 20-year-old man have since been released under investigation.

Two men have been charged with murder and possession of a bladed weapon.

They are Mohammed Jama, 20, of Ashley Street, Oldham and Musa Jama, 22, of Ashley Street, Oldham.

They appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday  and are due to appear  at Manchester Crown Court today (Thursday).

A third man Sadik Djama, 22, of Deerhurst Drive, Longsight, has also been charged with the murder and is due to appear before Manchester Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday).
